Having undergone refurbishment, our newly refurbished ballroom is the perfect venue that you've always dreamed of. Whether its a smaller, more intimate affair or a lavish wedding we can cater from anything from 50 - 350 guests.

beyond our wildest imagination
Our wedding at The Heritage was beyond our wildest imagination. I seriously cannot put into words how happy we are and how lucky we feel to have chosen the perfect venue for what was honestly the best day of our lives. When we got engaged in June 2019, we both dreamed about having The Heritage as our wedding venue We arranged to go and see the hotel and I still remember the excitement I felt the first time we walked into what was at the time the newly updated function room. As soon as we stepped into the room all aglow with stunning candelabras and elegant cherry blossoms dotted throughout - I remember thinking that this had to be the place we would get married. When we had to postpone our wedding due to Covid-19, the team at The Heritage could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The support and understanding provided by the team really meant the world to us and was greatly appreciated. Over the past two years we made several trips to the Heritage to meet Ger, Kim & Gosia to plan our perfect day. On each occasion, we were made to feel so special and were thoroughly impressed by the amazing service and friendly atmosphere. On the day of our wedding on 17th July 2021, we pulled up to The Heritage with the sun shining down and we were greeted so warmly by Ger, Gosia, Liam and the team. From that moment the whole wedding reception went perfectly and we truly had the best day. Each and every one of our guests loved The Heritage as much as we do. The combination of the elegance of the hotel and the excellence of the staff really make The Heritage one of the most special venues in Ireland. Ger and the staff helped to make our wedding so special - thank you all so much. We will never forget our wedding and how you all played an important part in making it unforgettable. The food was incredible; the rooms are amazing; the grounds and golf course are impeccable. I really don't know where to stop with listing all of the great things about The Heritage! Thank you for making our wedding dreams come true!

amazing from start to finish
We had our wedding here in April and The Heritage were amazing from start to finish. Our journey began with Sinead as our wedding coordinator and Tinashe took over a few months out. Both ladies were incredible, super responsive and so helpful with every inquiry I had. We created a custom package with Sinead to suit our needs/wants which was amazing. The day went so perfectly, every single moment was flawless, one hiccup with a guests room was sorted excellently by Gavin, our banquet manager who was simply ourstanding, he looked after our every need on the day. Honestly the most perfect day of our lives. All our guests raved about the food, staff and venue (and still do to this day!) I would highly recommend the Heritage to everyone.

the most amazing day
We honestly had the most amazing day. Thank you so much to you and all the team for a fantastic day. Each and every member of staff went above and beyond. Honestly, the guests have not stopped praising the staff. The food was out of this world and all the guests complimented it. From the canap?s to the breakfast and all in-between, it went down a treat. Hats off to the chef! I can't express our gratitude enough but thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our day such a success. We look forward to celebrating our anniversary there next year!

Absolutely amazing weekend.
Absolutely amazing weekend. The staff of the hotel done absolutely everything in their power to make it the best weekend of our lives. Professional, attentive, accommodating top notch standard. Couldn?t recommend the heritage enough for a wedding venue. The attention to detail the staff of the hotel have is second to none and everyone knows you by name it is so personal. 5 star Venue

the most magical day
Where do I start our wedding was the most magical day. The heritage went above & beyond to make our day so special. The service & attention to detail ourselves and our guests got was top class. The food was incredible and the hotel staff were amazing. We would like to thank each and everyone of you for everything you did for us over the few days we stayed with ye. Everyone is still talking about our day and how it was the best wedding.

always thinking of our wedding day experience at all times
We celebrated our wedding in the Heritage on 28th December 2022. We visited a lot of other venues and spoke to a number of coordinators before making our final decision and we never regretted our choice. From the very moment we discussed the packages, we were very impressed with the professionalism shown by our coordinators who were very friendly and accommodating with any little requests on our part. As our wedding reception was in Wintertime, we were mindful of choosing local suppliers and Portlaoise and the surrounding area is blessed with talented photographers, videographers, musicians and cake designers, who all had easy working relationships with the Heritage. Ahead of our wedding date, we completed our wonderful meal tastings and the Heritage were very attentive to our guests dietary requirements and non-alcoholic wine choices. At the pre- Wedding meeting with our coordinator, we received a full step-by-step account of the day?s timeline and thankfully for us, we had finally agreed our entrance music when asked for! The Heritage reception area was decorated very tastefully and we complimented it ourselves with small photographs and guestbook. All our guest needs were catered for here and the canap?s, food, prosecco, beer was plentiful to treat our guests ahead of the main meal. We were especially blessed to have a Heritage wedding team with such knowledge that made our ballroom stand out as one of the most elegantly, decorated ballrooms in the country. We were delighted to see all our guests so relaxed to enjoy themselves and dance the night away and early into the next morning. The Heritage team were always thinking of our wedding day experience at all times and how best they could make our day more special than we could plan it ourselves.

a dream come true
Our wedding day was a dream come true and so much of its success goes down to Tinashe, Sinead and all of the staff at the Heritage. We had a big wedding party of 250 people and everything went off without a hitch. The food was out of this world. We cannot praise the hotel high enough. 10/10 from us
