We have a large team of Registered Solemnisers all of whom can perform the Legal Element of a Wedding and this in incredibly important because some Celebrants in the public domain cannot perform the Legal Element and advise that it cannot be done on the same day, which of course it can. In fact we performed the first legal outdoor Wedding Ceremony in Ireland in April 2011 and the first Same Sex Marriage under the religious section following the Referendum in
May 2015.

Some people ask us, what do you mean by spiritual? A...
religious person may be spiritual, but a spiritual person is not necessarily religious, thus all activity be it physical, emotional, intuitional and so forth that leads towards greater perfection, goodness and wholeness is therefore spiritual.
The definition of spirituality encompasses real self, of us.. truth of our inner self… the inner being, hence why our ceremonies always focus ON YOU.The purpose of the Spiritualist Union of Ireland is to promote Spiritualism as a religion in Ireland and facilitate both the personal and spiritual development of it’s members in Spirituality, general Mediumship, Spiritual Healing and all other aspects of holistic and Spiritual enlightenment.

Nicola Hayes was our celebrant for our wedding. She did an amazing job. From the beginning with our initial emails and then our zoom call she put us right at ease and was so friendly and helpful. The ceremony was exactly what we wanted and it was really personal. Family and friends were full of praise for her. She was wonderful and really made the day extra special. Thank you so much Nicola. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Sorry it took is so long to do a review!

Thank you PJ for a fantastic ceremony. We really didn't know what to expect but the process was so simple and the templates for the ceremony gave us just enough room to make everything very personal but also well structured. PJ took great care in ensuring that the ceremony felt like it was ours. His intervention was only to ensure that everything we needed was in place. He was also very responsive and guided us easily through the process. With all the other things to think about for a wedding, the ceremony and the solemniser were never a worry for us. Many thanks for being such a fantastic part of our day.

Nadia was our celebrant for our wedding day on Thursday and she was amazing! From the very first email she was friendly, warm and so helpful! She took the time to get to know us and what kind of ceremony we wanted. The ceremony itself was personal, funny, relaxed and really set the tone for the rest of the day. My husband and I got married in Galway in May 2023, with Yvonne Griffin as our celebrant. We had the most amazing day -- and the ceremony was perfect! Yvonne worked with us to make the ceremony really reflect us as a couple, with just enough balance of seriousness and humor. We planned the wedding from the US and Yvonne made the whole process seamless, meeting with us via zoom and collaborating on drafting the ceremony all together. On the day, Yvonne did a wonderful job -- we were laughing and having so much fun the entire time. We can't imagine a better day, and are so thankful that Yvonne was our celebrant. Would definitely recommend having Yvonne to officiate your special day!

Aoife Bolger was our celebrant on our wedding day. She completely understood and implemented what was important to us on our big day. She listened to us and got a real sense of who we are as a couple. She was excellent at communication throughout the whole process , between providing information on what documentation we needed in order to get married and having all out readings available to our readers on the big day. The ceremony was seamless and she made us both feel at ease (especially a very nervous bride!). I have already recommended Aoife as a celebrant to my own friends who are in the process of planning a wedding. We are delighted Aoife was our celebrant on the biggest day of our lives! We got married in May 2023 and booked our celebrant Jim Carbin through the Spiritual Ceremonies website. The booking process was very simple and professional. Following this, Jim reached out to us to confirm our wedding details and we had a number of video calls in the lead up to the wedding with him. Jim shared a google document with us with all the details about our planned ceremony. Working alongside Jim, we were able to add, personalise and edit this in the months before the wedding until we were happy with the final ceremony. Jim was really fun to work with. Everyone commented on how beautiful and special our ceremony was. Our guests were especially impressed with Jim's fantastic sense of humour and how we was able to reflect our style as a couple throughout the ceremony. He told some lovely personal stories about us. Jim was also very kind to our family and friends who said readings during the ceremony. He guided the bridesmaids and groomsmen through their jobs seamlessly. Jim was also very comforting to us as the bride and groom during the ceremony. We were both a little nervous and he led us through all the steps in a caring and reassuring manner. Jim was a pleasure to work with in the lead up to the wedding and he delivered a fantastic ceremony on the day. Aoife Bolger was the celebrant at our wedding on the 13th May and we really could not have asked for more. She made the ceremony beautifully personal, so much so that some of our guests thought that we had known her for years! Aoife was fantastic in the lead up to the event and held several calls with us over Zoom to ensure that the ceremony was exactly as we wanted it. She advised us on what she thought would and wouldn't work and we had a great laugh planning the ceremony with her. Would 100% recommend Aoife as a celebrant at your wedding.

We decided to go with Spiritual Ceremonies for our big day as we wanted a real personal and intimate touch for our wedding. We wanted to blend in stories of us and have them told to our guests. We were matched with Kelly Hunt and from the very beginning she made the process so smooth and enjoyable. A lot of our conversations were over email or Skype and that was purely down to Covid restrictions at the time but that made no difference whatsoever, anytime we chatted it felt as though we were sitting across from one another. When we did get to meet in person we went through the ceremony and what we did and didn’t want and Kelly just made it so easy. There was no stress. When the big day arrived, it went so well, Kelly gave a beautiful ceremony and it was exactly how we wanted it and it’s something I’ll remember forever. Our guests also really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend Spiritual Ceremonies for your big day and i would recommend Kelly Hunt without any hesitation. She helped make our day so special and memorable. Thank you!

The most calming person Iv ever met

Ceremony which was everything we had hoped it would be
Our Wedding Celebrant, Minister Miriam Fitzgerald, created a ceremony which was everything we had hoped it would be. Personal, about us in all of the details. Our wedding ceremony included and embraced everyone present, including those who couldn't be present which set the loving inclusive tone to our very special, extra-special. We had John Fitzgerald as our celebrant for our wedding and we cannot thank him enough for all he did for us. From the very first phone call John was so kind, calm and professional and he helped make our wedding so personal. So many people commented about his calm soothing voice on the day. This helped us be calm and we enjoyed every minute of the ceremony. It was such a joyful day. Also it has to be noted that our best man was our son who is 14 years old and he was very nervous. John spent so much time with him talking him through what was to be done and really helped put him at ease. Amazing is an understatement, flawless, creative, personalised
On the 19th of November we got married in the Abbey hotel Roscommon. I am the wedding coordinator in the Abbey and for many years i have stood at the back of the room listening to many celebrants carrying out their ceremonies but 1 in particular always managed to capture my heart. Tara Carroll,....Spiritual ceremonies Ireland we are sure you realise by now how much of an asset this lady is and how amazing she is at her job, We wouldn't and couldn't have imagined our ceremony more beautiful than it was but this was all down to Tara, she met us she listened to our story, she watched us together and she delivered the "Perfect Ceremony". Her smile lights up the entire room, her wit ,her charm, her professionalism and her heart shines throughout her ceremonies and all of our guests young and old said they had NEVER been at a more personal ceremony than ours. Im so fortunate in my job to meet so many wonderful people but Tara is a very special lady whom iv grown so so fond of and who should be so proud of what she does. Amazing is an understatement, flawless, creative, personalised and just so loving is how i would describe her ceremonies. Spiritual Ceremonies were very professional

From start to finish she was just brilliant
We were married on the 18th of September 2021. Our wonderful Celebrant Aoife Bolger really couldn't have been any better. From start to finish she was just brilliant. All of our guests kept asking us how long we knew her as they thought we had known her for years. In our meetings both over Zoom and in person she really put us at ease and we also had a good laugh. She tailored our ceremony to exactly what we wanted and suggested some extras that just made the ceremony so personal and enjoyable. It really was a stress free process dealing with Aoife and I would highly recommend her to anyone planning their big day. Thank you so much Aoife xx.
